I'm Carissa. I love being a photographer. Over the past 12 years of being a professional photographer my camera has grown to be an extension of me. From behind my lens, I have captured so many memories. Weddings, families, sometimes sadness and loss. I am an "UNPOSED" photographer. You may be wondering what is that? I can still capture the formals and posed shots beautifully, but I focus my photography business on creating genuine moments that capture love, laughter, and lets your true personalities shine through. 

 

I love the outdoors and spending time hiking and exploring with my family. When I am not behind my camera or in front of my computer editing, I am probably writing or illustrating my children's books or teaching my daughter. Giving back is important to me and I donate back a portion of mini session profits to different organizations when I can. I believe that making tiny positive ripples in the world could start something amazing. 

 

I love visiting family. Some of my favorite spots in this whole wide world are the Berkshires, Nokomis Florida, and Colorado. I am a lover of tiny houses and tacos- Bonus points if I can eat tacos in a tiny house. I love dogs and often find myself hoping to pass one on a hike just to give out a few pets. 

 

​I prefer natural light and always try to use it, although, I do know how to use my flash well if needed. I like to create light and airy portraits but also know when to use some darker colors.

From helping you pick out colors for your outfits to providing you with exceptional service on your session date, I want to leave you with an experience that is outstanding and stress-free.
